Chet Thomas grew up in the Midwest, served a mission in
Salta, Argentina, and graduated from Brigham Young University. There he studied
film and met his wife Angie and has 4 children.
He is a feature film producer and director. During his
film career has worked in many different capacities on such films as Steven
Spielberg’s Minority Report, Meet the Parents, Mouse Hunt, Small Soldiers,
Saving Private Ryan among others.
Before becoming a producing partner with Gerald Molen at
WhiteLight Entertainment, he worked with him on Steven Spielberg’s “Minority
Report”. Prior to that, he worked at DreamWorks for several years, where he
first served in the story department, collaborating on such projects as
“Amistad”, “Deep Impact” and “Saving Private Ryan”. He quickly moved to feature
development, where he played an active role assisting Jason Hoffs in the
development of “Meet the Parents”, “Mouse Hunt”, “Road to Perdition”, “Small
Soldiers” and several other films.
Most recently, he produced the film “TAKE”, starring
Academy Award®-nominated actors Jeremy Renner and Minnie Driver, which has won
many ‘Best of’ categories in festivals around the country. He is also a
producer on the Walden Media film “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.
For more than 10 years Chet has been producing and co-
directing projects with Darrin Fletcher under the FletChet Entertainment banner.
Over the last three years they has been working on a documentary and TV series
that has taken them undercover, in the dark underworld of child slave trade. They
have been able to help rescue children that have been kidnapped or forced into
exploitation. They co-directed the Anti-Child Trafficking documentary “TheAbolitionists" and is currently executive producing and directing a
television series on the same topic.
President Chet Thomas lives in Ojai and has 4 children.
He loves serving in the church and especially working with the youth. His
favorite callings have been serving as the Young Men’s President and as Bishop.
He is currently serving as the 2nd Counselor in the Stake Presidency of the
Ventura Stake.
